This page is specially designed for UTHM students who live far away from Johor and they want to know how to catch a flight.
From UTHM, you have 3 options to go to Senai Airport.
1. By taxi
2. By bus
3. By friends
Of course, using taxi is the most expensive and using the bus is the cheapest and by asking friends to fetch maybe free of charge. Taxi services are available anywhere and just call the taxi and they will go straight to your house to pick you up. Then to the airport straight away through highway. Usually the cost of this journey costs RM80 to RM120. Senai Airport Taxi costs RM100 and this price is not negotiable.
Second option, you can choose to use by bus but this usually consume quite a lot of time. If your flight is going to depart at 12pm, you have to start your journey at 8am just in case you need to check-in 2 hours before the boarding time. First, you have to take a bus to Batu Pahat Bus Station for RM1.80 then from there, buy a bus ticket to go to Larkin. Usually KKKL express bus company offers this service. This journey takes approximately one hour and costs for RM8.20. At larkin bus station, just wait for the coastal bus that is going to the airport which usually costs RM3 for that. This journey is around half an hour.
If you are carrying a lot of luggages and bags, I advice you to take a taxi or share the taxi with friends in order to save your money because it’s hard to carry your bags and luggages from one bus to another bus and this really consume a lot of time and tiring.
