I left for a few days because I was attending an event called National Undergraduates Convention.
It was actually a 3-day camp which gathered local university students from Sarawak. Most of the committee members were from UUM (Universiti Utara Malaysia) and as a result, most of the participants were from UUM. I was the only one who came from UTHM. Some of them even don’t know what is UTHM. What a sad thing.I know UTHM is not as famous as those UM, UKM, USM or UPM. But I believe that, one day, it will. With the initiatives from all the UTHMians. No thanks to those guards who like to issue me summons. They are dick heads.
Well, this time was the 6th convention and I was forced to enter this convention. My friend paid for me before asking for my approval. Registration fee is RM50 so I thought that I would give it a try since I never enter such convention before. It was happened at Santubong and Permai.

First Day
Registration and introduction to the 3-day events. There were 2 talks about our careers, asking us to come back Sarawak to work after graduates, which I think the chances are low. We are staying in Santubong Resort.
Second Day
There was one exercise session in the morning. We were required to dance something like joget. I have no idea why the hell is it. Then followed by a talk after breakfast after we checked out our room at Santubong. Next was the most challenging part - Walk from Santubong to Permai. Bloody hell. I had produced few liters of body juices walking under the hot sun. Not only that, there were a lot of treasure hunts along the way. Imagine that situation. I never did that in my life before in the past 20 years.
After that, we had our lunch before the last few treasure hunts. Then we arranged the puzzles found during the treasure hunts in the Jungle Hall. And finally, we got some rest before our dinner. Checked in the cabin house at Camp Permai.
The most interesting part of this day was the solo sit. What do you think solo sit is? Sit anywhere you like for an hour? You are wrong! There were guides who lead us into the jungle at 9pm. It was very dark and everyone of us carried torch lights into the jungle for walking and climbing purpose. After half an hour of walking, another guide placed us one by one along the jungle track. One by one with displacement of at least 3 meters in between. The situation was dark. You see nothing. Only the glow-in-the-dark leaves on the floor. Many weird sounds coming from the environment and it was scary.
Luckily there was one friend of mine, came to approach me after 15 minutes and we talked for about 2 hours before the guide came back to bring us out. If he was not approaching me, I think I would be bored for the freaking 2 and a half hour.

Third Day
This day has nothing interesting because there will be the closing ceremony once we finished our obstacle course which looks alike like what you can see in the National Service. Closing ceremony has nothing special. Everyone’s taking photos with each other and that’s all. We checked out our cabin house and left for Kuching.

This was my group. MARS.
火星人,冲冲冲!Yeah!

There are a lot of exhibitions happening these few days. First, it was the Research and Innovation.
I went to this exhibition to get some ideas because I was going to show off my invention during the Creativity and Innovation exhibition right after the day of Research and Innovation. We called it R & I and C & I.

This is one of the inventions during R & I. It is almost like PDA but has bigger and wider screen. The stylus is used to mark anything on the screen. But for me, it is not so impressive because it is not something new. I have seen a lot of these things in PC fair. Try to look for WACOM products. I think they have the similar products.

Nonetheless, this aquarium drew me to watch it for long. Guess what, this aquarium can change the water automatically. Not only that, it has the sensor to sense the quality of the water before it changes the water. A whole new invention, isn’t it?
It impressed me a lot.
What I was going to show in the exhibition is… Auto Rotating Hanger! Don’t laugh ok.

I said don’t laugh! =.=”

I had been to Santubong Suite to have photography session with my friends in Kuching few days ago.

Actually I was thinking of going to Santubong Resort, which is much cheaper compared with Santubong Suite. But heard my dad said that Santubong Resort is not a “clean” place to go. You know what I mean right? Antonym of “clean” means that it’s a haunted place to go. And I was prepared. I brought my buddha statue. It’s my mum’s order ok. ^^

Santubong is located north of Kuching and it is almost surrounded by trees. Meaning that there are a lot of trails and a lot of jungle trekking can be done over there.
To my surprise, Alvin booked Santubong Suite. Well, as long as it is not Santubong Resort, that’s all fine. Phew. It is a nice suite with beautiful view outside its balcony. With 24-hour monitored security system, every in and out of this suite required a card key before you can use the lift and going to the car park.

If I am not mistaken, this is a 15 floor building and it is well protected by the security. One unit contains 1 master bedroom, 2 rooms, 2 washrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 living room and 1 balcony. It’s big enough for a moderate family.

A moderate family consists of… so many shoes? This is a large family.

The living room.

There are 3 themes for this photography session. The first one is after work. We all look like professionals right? Haha. All wearing nicely.

That’s the view outside this suite. Somewhere near to the golf course.

Right after the golf course, here comes the beach.

Jump.

Err, jump err..

JUMP JUMP JUMP!

What is this? Snake? I was humiliated by Andrew when positioning myself to take this photo. Andrew, you better watch out. I will take revenge on you. =.=”

OooOoo… What is that girl in the middle doing? o.O Too happy or what? Saw a dolphin? Haha.

The second theme is casual.

Here comes the last theme. Wet attires. We were going into the water.

Everyone’s jumping to cheer for the photographers who finished their photography session with us. There were 3 photographers, Edwin, Cecilia and Jeff. They are great photographers.
These photos are not photoshoped yet. It’s originally taken from the Edwin.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Barisan Nasional will form the next Government as it has won more than half the parliamentary seats.
However, the coalition suffered some of the greatest defeats in its history. Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, in accepting the results, said this was clear proof of democracy at work in the country.
Among the results yesterday were:
- The Barisan lost Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor,
- PAS strengthened grip on Kelantan,
- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting won in their seats,
- Among ministers who lost their seats were Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu, Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin,
- Gerakan acting president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon lost to Dr P. Ramasamy in the Batu Kawan parliamentary seat.
Meanwhile, party leaders urged for calm and police have banned all victory celebrations.
