Happy New Year!

I would like to take this great opportunity to greet all http://hao.bitsofbytes.org readers a VICTORIOUS new year! Happy New Year 2008! New year, new dream, new goal, new passion.

Chiang Mai

After staying few days in the busy city of Bangkok, I flew to Chiang Mai, which is located at the North of Thailand. Chiang Mai is much cooler than Bangkok. It can reach 16 degree celcius during the night time. I regretted that I left my jacket at KL, thinking that the weather over there would be fine for me. But I was wrong. It is COLD!!

That’s what I have for my breakfast - Pork Rice!!! Tell you, this pork rice is different with what we have in our hometown. The pork is oil-less, soft and deliciousss! It’s just Y-U-M-M-Y!

Chiang Mai is actually a humble city. Everyone doing their own things in slow motion, compared with Bangkok.

They walk slowly, talk slowly, bargain slowly, everything slowly as they are satisfied with their life and they just want to repeat their routine everyday.

How I wish I can dine in this special kitchen, Hell’s Kitchen. But too bad, it was closed. I wonder whether they are serving man’s meat.

Click And Drink Internet Cafe. They serve drinks in their cyber cafe. How nice.

One good thing about McDonald in Chiang Mai is that

the Sundae ice-cream is only 9 Baht (RM0.90)!! So cheap. :D

The tuk tuk taxis are everywhere. It’s actually one type of modified motorcycles. Thailand people are creative. Hehez.

That’s all for this post. Bon Voyage. “Thank You For Your Reading”.

Let’s look at these.

They are actually made of WAX! They looked so real and I thought they are really the real life person sitting over there, without moving. But when you touch them, they are cold. Haha. Dead? o.O

Here comes the King Family of Thailand. Actually camera is not allowed in this area. But I took it secretly. :P

This is the Thai Queen. Also made of wax. Touching the Queen is prohibited in this area.

Remember “Night in the Museum” movie? Yupe, it’s almost the same as you seen in the movie. Dark, looked real, but fake.

The museum is well-maintained and strictly watched by the guards over there especially the King Family which was made using wax. They have to maintain the temperature inside the museum so that it’s not too cold, or too hot. Camera is not allowed in some area because the flash light may melt the wax. Anyway, the wax model is just so real that you could hardly believe.

Nakorn Pratom, Bangkok

Thailand is a place where it has the biggest number of temple I have ever seen. Likewise, in Malaysia, there are freaking a lot of Mosque where people like me who eat a lot of pork cannot go in this place. There are so many temples in Thailand that I will never feel worried to look for a temple to go.

Nakorn Pratom

This place is called Nakorn Pratom. Don’t ask me what does it mean. It’s just a name. =.=” This Buddha is still under construction and it is the biggest Buddha built in Thailand. Many people and tourists like to go to this place to pray.

history3

The history of this Buddha.

Praying

So, I am not an exception, I also pray, for health, for lucks. Haha.

Flower

They normally pray together with a flower (in the blue circle) as a sign of respect to the Buddha. I am not sure what’s the name of that flower called.

After visiting Nakorn Pratom, there’s another temple to visit.

Buddha

I have forgotten what’s this place called. As I know there are bells around for people to knock, bringing lucks.

BIg Bell

Nah, the big bell.

Buddha

Ice-Cream

This ice-cream is very popular in Thailand since 30 years ago.

Family and Relatives

They are my family and relatives who live in Thailand.

Actually the weather in Thailand is nice. Even though the sun is as hot as Malaysia, but the wind is cool. You won’t sweat under the sun because there is always cool wind blowing you. It’s like having yourself in an air-cond room where the sun is shining on you. So nice!

Bangkok

When we mention about Thailand, the word shemale will come into our mindset automatically. This is true but not as many as we think. It is just a few of them sometimes appear in restaurants and in the night market. They are actually shy and they can be identified by their voice. Usually they are so pretty that I want to have them but once they talk, I will run 1 million miles away.

Bangkok

This is the Bangkok city at night.

KL

Compared with Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok is much bigger and it is divided into several parts: North Bangkok, West Bangkok, East Bangkok, South Bangkok and Center of Bangkok. It takes approximately 1 hour to travel from the South Bangkok to the North Bangkok if there is no traffic jam. Their highway has no speed limit and the drivers over there usually drive in the average speed of 130km/h. See how big it is.

THai King

The King of Thailand has reached his age of 80 and he has been leading his country for 60 years. Thailand people love their King very much and discrimination is not an issue as big as in Malaysia.

Loy Kratong

A festival called Loy Kratong was held along the river where many people bring one type of flower and put on the water and let go. It is believed that by doing this, the people will gain good health and lucks. That’s the Bangkok I have met.
